"Slugs in Love" by Susan Pearson (February Report)
This was a fun book to read for Valentine's Day. Marylou and Herbie are slugs that write love poems to eachother and finally meet. We also used this book as a pair and share topic. Some suggestions for similar books are:
"Are You a Snail?" by Judy Allen and Tudor Humphries
"Worms" by Jen Green
"Nematodes, Leeches and Worms" by Steve Parker
Kids usually like to learn about slimy creatures and this was an interesting way to show them how slugs and like creatures live and fit into our world.
