"Bigfoot with a Big Heart" by Nancy Crocker (January Report)
Everyone is different. Some kids get picked on for funny hair, a big nose , glasses and so forth. BettyLou Blue has really BIG feet. It is during a snowstorm that her classmates realize how important and helpful those differences can be.
We discussed bullying and how hurtful it can be and what to do about it. It is a great story to emphasize kindness toward others, even if you are the one being bullied.
