The kids loved this book! I started out by asking who liked to hear the fun Once upon a time books and books about princesses etc (of course, the girls hands shot up) and then I asked who likes to read action stories with villians and a hero and volcanoes etc (then the boys hands shot up). I then tell them that I have a story for everyone then and I read the book to them, the kids would just roll with laughter. I would change my voice from princess to "dude" and that made them laugh too. I have even had classes ask to do it again. I tied it in to Valentine's Day with the ending talking about the princess and the dude falling in love.
I think this will be a hit for all of you!
